A Little Bit Of Kite Flying

Hi Lou here with you on this drizzly, cold spring day.  At least it is in my part of the world.  A perfect day for crafting on the upside.

I am sharing my DT card for this month which uses the totally versatile,
extremely cute Lawn Fawn Yay, Kites stamp and Yay, Kites Lawn Cuts

For my card I decided to make a scene shaker card.
I stamped the kite and clouds on the card base and coloured with Shimmering H20 paints, then I cut the glitter card for the frame and adhered the acetate to it.  I then added my foam tape to the base so it couldn't be seen and poured in the sequins and flattened them out so I could stick the frame and acetate on.
I then stamped and cut the "hello" and squirrel and glued them to the top.

The pic above shows the sequins all shaken out, cute hey?

Thanks loads for joining me today and I hope I have inspired you to make a shaker card of your own
Lou.

Hello Spring

Hello fellow crafters.
Here is my card for this month.

Items used are:
The Flowers, leaves, dots and sentiment are all from
the stamp and die set : Avery Elle - Petals and Stems

The Hello is from Elizabeth Crafts (sponged with inks)
The Hello was painted over with Mod Podge gloss lustre.
I decided to decorate the flowers and card corner with rhinestones.

Have you ever thought of trying the Lawn Fawn Stamp shammy?
I bought one and it is fantastic.
Have a great week, Blessings Carol

Watercolours + Embossed Darkroom Door Collage Stamp

Hi everyone - Shaz here, just popping in with quick post of some watercoloured poppies for Bizzy Bec's!
I bought from Bec this *Darkroom Door collage stamp, which I embossed in gold EP, and heat set. Then painted image in watercolour, using the Distress Inks, smooched on a ink block and on laminated sheet. * this stamp not on Bec's site, but she can get it for you! at a great price!
I really love this card. It looks wa-aaay better in real life, sadly sometimes photos never do a card justice this is one of them!
Used Glossy accents on poppy, mounting it on this gorgeous Our Daily Bread die set called "Lacey layered Square Dies" - it is square, but I extended it into rectangle (see tutorial on this here). It can be ordered from Bec.
T
he "smile' stamped greeting is also a greeting from Bec - Lawn Fawn "So much to say" a really great sentiment set!
Background designer paper - Paper Pad "Wild Rose Blackberry Lane", bought from Bec.
Hope you've enjoyed this post, and it is good to be back again after my illness. Thank you everyone for encouragement, patience and support.
